Energocom received license to carry out natural gas trader activity in Romania

Chisinau, Oct. 3 /MOLDPRES/- Energocom company received a license from ANRE Romania to be able to buy or sell natural gas on the Romanian market. Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Spînu, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development made the statement today.

At the same time, the official informed that Energocom was registered on the Regional Booking Platform and can access gas storage facilities in Ukraine.

"Also, Moldelectrica signed an agreement with Transelectrica Romania for emergency delivery of electricity in case of necessity. We are glad to start the week with good news from the energy field. Step by step, we are increasing the energy security level of our country", Andrei Spînu wrote on a social network.

Late last week, the official said that in October, gas deliveries from the Russian giant Gazprom were limited by 30%. Moldovagaz received partial confirmation of the volumes for this month. Thus, out of the 8.06 million m3 of gas per day (for both banks), 5.7 million m3 per day were confirmed. He noted that if Gazprom does not offer the 30%, they will be supplied from Energocom's reserves (53.5 million m3 of gas), through daily auctions or reservations can be made daily at Gazprom's decision.
