Employees of medical institutions funded by CNAM to get higher wages

Chisinau, Oct. 4 /MOLDPRES/- The salaries of the staff employed in public medical and sanitary institutions in the mandatory medical assistance insurance system (AOAM) have been increased by 10% starting from this month.

According to the National Medical Insurance Company (CNAM), also the wages of the management staff will increase by 5.5%.

Thus, the official salary of family doctors with up to 10 years of work experience will amount to 12,610 lei, up by 1,150 than before, that of doctors in the phthisiopneumology service will increase to 16,130 lei compared to 14,660 lei, and the salary of the head of the medical-sanitary institution will vary between 13,540 lei and 27,060 lei, depending on the amount of financial resources accumulated annually.

The expenses needed to increase the salaries of employees for this October-December are estimated at over 216 million lei. The money was earmarked in the compulsory medical insurance funds as a result of the recent rectification of the AOAM Funds Law for this year.
