Moldovan president meets Minister of State for Europe of United Kingdom

Chisinau, 4 October /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today had a meeting with Minister of State for Europe of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Leo Docherty, on a working visit to Chisinau, the presidential press service has reported.

The officials discussed possibilities of advancement of the cooperation between Moldova and the United Kingdom, both in the context of the regional security challenges and in the one of energy crisis.

President Maia Sandu stressed the importance of developing the relations between the two countries on the dimensions of trade, investments and anti-corruption fight. The head of state also thanked for the support provided by the United Kingdom during years for strengthening the democracy in Moldova.
