Issue of obstacles to free movement in Security Zone stays on agenda of discussions of Joint Control Commission

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/ - The main subject of a working meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), held in Bender today, was the identification of solutions due to ensure the remedying of the problem of the posts abusively set in the Security Zone, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.   

Such posts were fixed including by the OSCE Mission, which made 32 trips of monitoring in the perimeter of the Security Zone in last September.  

Thus, OSCE Mission’s representatives confirmed the presence of staff subordinated to Tiraspol, concrete blocks, bags with sand at the entrances/exits nearby settlements; they noticed mobile posts of Transnistrian power wielding structures in the Bender city, also with armed personnel. Besides, the OSCE representatives detected modules for the staff of the posts on the area of the Gasca and Proteagailovca settlements.    

During the discussions, each side presented its proposals for the draft decision which has not been approved as yet for the lack of consensus.

JCC will convene at a new meeting next week.
