National Festival of Plum to be yearly organized in Moldova

Chisinau, 6 October /MOLDPRES/ - The lawmakers today approved an amendment of the decision on the commemorative days, holidays and days off in Moldova. Thus, the National Festival of Plum will be marked in the country.
The National Festival of Plum will be held annually on the third Sunday of September. According to the draft decision’s authors, the establishment of this holiday was demanded by the local public authorities.
In Moldova, plums rank second among the most exported fresh fruits, and thus the country is among the first ten exporters in the world.
