Chisinau, Oct. 12 /MOLDPRES/- A new Center for validation of professional skills in the economic sector was set up within the Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance in Chisinau. The center was created based on the new Regulation on certification of professional skills, which allows the extension of the validation process in vocational technical education at the national level.

According to the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC), citizens from the country and from the diaspora have the opportunity to validate their professional skills acquired at work or in various non-formal and informal education contexts with the qualifications: Business Planning and Administration, Accounting, Finance and banking, Finance and insurance, Taxation and tax collection, WEB application administration, Software product analysis.

"The need to certify the knowledge and skills acquired in contexts of non-formal and informal education in the economic field derives from the demands of the labor market to have qualified specialists in the economic field, who have accumulated extensive experience at work, but do not hold a qualification certificate or of professional competence in this field.

The Center of Excellence in Economics and Finance in Chisinau is the 11th validation center set up by the Ministry of Education and Research to create new educational and employment opportunities for citizens of the Republic of Moldova and the diaspora," the Ministry of Education said.

The validation process was launched in 2019, as part of a pilot project supported by development partners the International Organization for Migration and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Migration and local development project.
