Moldovan National Army's servicemen take part in blood donation campaign

Chisinau, 13 October /MOLDPRES/ - Servicemen and civilians of the National Army have donated blood at collection points placed in units from the Balti, Chisinau and Causeni garrisons.  

According to the Defence Ministry, about 400 seasoned and contracted military, as well as civilian employees donated blood and plasma in the motorized infantry brigades Moldova, Stefan cel Mare, Alexandru cel Bun Military Academy (AMFA), General Staff Regiment, Nicolae Petrica Brigade General and the Surface-to-air Missiles Regiment.      

Defence Minister Anatolie Nosatii participated in the action. Along with military students and AMFA teachers, he donated blood at the collection centre set at the headquarters of the education institution. ’’I wanted to encourage young people, besides the military art, to do nice things for the society. This voluntary action is a premiere for many of the young people and I am sure that they understood the importance of the voluntary blood donation.’’ Anatolie Nosatii said.   

The blood donation action took place on the period 29 September – 12 October. Annually, more than 2,000 seasoned military and contracted forces, as well as civilian employees of the National Army donate blood and plasma within campaigns organized in partnership with specialized institutions from Moldova.
