Moldova's National Library for Children awards prizes to about 100 readers

Chisinau, 17 October /MOLDPRES/ - A ceremony on the awarding of prizes to about 100 children readers, who reached the final of the reading marathon titled, Magic vacation with one thousand readings, held in the last summer, took place at the Ion Creanga National Library for Children on 16 October.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the Library’s director, Eugenia Bejan, said the reading marathon was a challenge, through which the library was set to stimulate the interest of children aged from 7 to 18 years in reading and motivate them to spend more time reading books.

All 100 finalists of the reading marathon received diplomas, books and office articles, provided as donation by the Representation of the Council of Europe in Chisinau, the distributor of books, I-Carte Distribuție, and IREX.
