Record of legal professions to be made in state electronic register

Chisinau, Oct. 20 /MOLDPRES/- The record of legal professions will be made in an electronic state register. The issue was discussed at yesterday's working meeting at the Ministry of Justice (MJ).

The meeting focused on the approval, development and implementation of the register, the responsibilities of the parties involved and its implementation agenda. Present at the discussions, State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice Veronica Mihailov-Moraru said that the development of an electronic Register is one of the priorities of the ministry on the digital dimension, and its implementation will allow a better record of the activity of justice professionals and will exclude the human error.

Thus, it was proposed that the registry be an integrated information system of the justice system, and notaries, lawyers, mediators, bailiffs, authorized administrators, translators, judicial experts and other actors who contribute to the administration of justice will ensure the flow of information regarding their professional activity/assignments. This will allow the systematization of operational processes and ensure the principles of transparency and continuity of information.

The development and creation of the electronic variant of the State Register of Legal Professions is funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID), in partnership with the EBRD.
