Chisinau, 20 October /MOLDPRES/ - Discussions about the posts of the Transnistrian power wielding structures, abusively set in the Security Zone, under the pretext of ‘’terroristic threat,’’ continued at a today’s meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), held in Bender, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
Moldova’s delegation promotes insistently and with arguments the need to enforce the present regulations from the acts of peacekeeping operations, with obliging Tiraspol to unconditionally withdraw them.
In this respect, Chisinau’s representatives reiterated their proposals for a future decision of the Joint Control Commission, which might contribute to removing the posts and concrete blocks. These illegal posts hinder the movement on roads, represent a real danger for citizens’ life and health; this was proved, regretfully, by a recent traffic accident, which took place in Rabnita on 8 October 2022.
Tiraspol’s representatives in JCC continue to turn down the proposals of Chisinau’s delegation, refusing even the presentation of the accurate information on the number of posts, weapons and staff involved.
The Joint Control Commission members failed to reach a consensus; the meeting was interrupted without the taking of a decision on the subject discussed.
Additional consultations will be held in Bender in one week.
