Chisinau, 25 October /MOLDPRES/ - The General Police Inspectorate (IGP) carries out an action on the prevention of violence and intimidation (bullying) in education institutions of Moldova.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the IGP press officer, Mariana Betivu, said that the policemen’s urge for pupils was ‘’Be friendly, not wicked! The school must represent a safe and friendly environment.

„Law-enforcers show to children the negative effects of bullying and how can they avoid such a behavior. At the same time, a short film is screened about the violence and the way it is correct for one to act, if he/she was subjected to intimidation. Aggressor’s expectations should be discouraged through collective attitudes. The safety of children is priority for the police,’’ Mariana Betivu noted.

Bulling is an act of physical, verbal and psychic violence, as well as attempt to get something through intimidation. This type of behavior affects children both at school and among friends or in family.

The informing action is carried out by policemen during the school year.
