Moldovan president, U.S. Ambassador to Moldova discuss bilateral cooperation

Chisinau, 26 October /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu today met Ambassador of the United States to Moldova Kent Logsdon. The discussion was focused on the bilateral agenda and the difficult situation faced by Moldova at present, the presidential press service has reported.

The interlocutors referred to the unprecedented energy crisis the citizens and economy of Moldova must cope with at present and which is a direct consequence of Russia’s invasion in Ukraine.

President Maia Sandu thanked for the support provided by the American partners for the strengthening of the public institutions and carrying out the reforms in the key sectors, especially in the reformation of justice and fighting corruption. This is a support which contributes to Moldova’s resilience to the current threats, the head of state said.
