Joint Control Commission continues discussions on issue of illegal points in Security Zone

Chisinau, 27 October /MOLDPRES/ - A weekly meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC), held in Bender today, started with the hearing of reports of the Joint Military Command on the situation in the Security Zone, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.   

Thus, the Commission members took note of the reports by military, unveiled for the periods 5-11 October and 19-25 October 2022. The reports contain information on the presence of illegal posts of the Transnistrian power wielding structures in the perimeter of responsibility of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces.  

Subsequently, the main subject of the discussions at the meeting represented the issues regarding the illegal posts set contrary to the basic acts of the peacekeeping operation at Dniester.  

Moldova’s delegation spoke out, with reasons, for the removal of these obstacles to the free movement, which proved their real danger for the citizens’ life and health.  

Tiraspol’s representatives again showed themselves bothered by Chisinau’s proposals to solve this problem of the illegal posts.    

The discussions ended without the taking of a decision on the subject and the meeting was postponed for next week.
