National Army sappers moving to Naslavcea

Chisinau, Oct. 31 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Defense announced that National Army sappers are moving to Naslavcea, Ocnița district, to investigate the land where a Russian missile recently fell.
"Regarding the information regarding the fragments that fell on the territory of the Republic of Moldova from the missile shot down this morning by the Ukrainian air defense system following the drone attack on the Dnestrovsk dam, on the territory of Ukraine, located at a distance of 1 km from the Naslavcea dam, the Ministry of Defense informs that the sappers of the National Army are moving to the spot to investigate the terrain", says the press release issued by the institution.
At the same time, in the context of the respective incident, the Ministry of Defense reiterates that the air surveillance systems of the National Army did not detect illegal flights in the airspace of Moldova. "Also, the fragments of the downed rocket were not detected by the radar stations due to their size and small reflective surface", the statement added.
