Chisinau, 7 November /MOLDPRES/ - The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) has ruled to cease the work of the leisure and recreation platform earlier set at the border crossing points Leuseni, Giurgiulesti and Sculeni.
According to IGSU, the decision comes in the context of reducing the flow of trucks at Moldova’s customs checkpoints, as well as the decrease in the number of requests on behalf of drivers. They are to be conserved and, if needed, might be re-installed.
The points were meant for the drivers of trucks which were in waiting columns for the processing of the border crossing procedures. The recreation islands served 4,157 people during five months. The drivers benefited from assistance, drinking water, leisure in tents and sanitary units.
