Joint declaration of Parliamentary Assembly of Moldova, Poland adopted in Chisinau

Chisinau, 7 November /MOLDPRES/ - A joint declaration on Moldova’s European integration was adopted at the eighth Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Moldova and Poland today.      

The declaration stipulates the appreciation for the values of European integration and the commitment proved by Moldova for its European integration, including following the getting of the status of country candidate for accession to EU, as well as to the aspiration of consolidating the democracy, rule of law state and human rights. Also, the Parliamentary Assembly expresses support for the efforts taken by the Moldovan authorities, in order to diminish the negative impact caused by Russia’s aggression war against Ukraine on the political, social economic life of Moldova.    

The document also declares the commitment and support for continuing the joint actions for Moldova’s reintegration, based on the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders, with the full observance of its citizens’ fundamental rights and freedoms, of the special status of the national, cultural and linguistic minorities, especially in the context of the holding of the Polish chairmanship of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.     

The sides also highlight the importance of increasing the financial and technical support provided to Moldova, in order to ensure the energy independence, connectivity, production, energy’s diversification and efficiency, as well as for speeding up the identification of alternative sources of energy for Moldova.
