Chisinau, 8 November /MOLDPRES/ - The National Library of Moldova (BNRM), in partnership with the Serghei Lunchevici National Philharmonic, today organized a Musical Saloon. During the event, the volume titled, The music and colours, grammar and mathematics, signed by a departed Chisinau-born composer and piano player from Romania, Dumitru Milcoveanu, was launched.
The work appeared at a publishing house from Bucharest, cared by Octav Calleya, a well-known conductor born in Romania and settled in Malaga, Spain. The work of the reputed Romanian composer and pianist, Dumitru Milcoveanu, who bequeathed four symphonies, piano, choral and instrumental works, was collected with much care in a book-homage. The latter is intended to be a modest contribution of Octav Calleya, a disciple of Milcoveanu, for a composer who deserves an important place in the history of the Romanian music.
