About 130 homeless people to be accommodated at hosting center in Chisinau

Chisinau, Nov. 9 /MOLDPRES/- Homeless people can benefit from shelter and food at the hosting center for people without a stable domicile in the capital.

Deputy head of the General Directorate of Medical and Social Assistance Marina Buga said that the beneficiaries can contact the institution's social workers at the following phone numbers: 022-354-037 or 022-354-038.

The institution offers them food, integration services, information, psychological counseling and clothing. "Currently, there are about 40 people at this center, who are provided with food three times a day. Since the beginning of this year, more than 500 people have benefited from the institution's services", said Buga.

This year, 8.5 million lei (about 425 thousand euros) were allocated from the municipal budget for the center's activity.

The municipal authorities urge Chisinau residents to call 112, when they see people freezing in the street or in need of care.
