Germany to grant 40 million euros to ensure population's energy security

Chisinau, Nov. 9 /MOLDPRES/- The German government will provide Moldova a grant of 40 million euros to ensure the energy security of the population.
Today, the members of the parliamentary committee on foreign policy and European integration approved the initiation of negotiations and the approval of the signing of the Agreement, drawn up through an exchange of notes, between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on financial cooperation.
The 40 million euro-support will be provided through the German Development Bank KfW, and the money will be used to offset the sudden increase in energy costs for the low-income population.
