Moldovan, French officials broach cooperation

Chisinau, Nov. 11 /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration had a meeting in Paris with Emmanuel Puisais-Jauvin, French Secretary General for European Affairs and Advisor to the Prime Minister for Europe. France supports our irreversible path towards the European Union, the MAEIE press service has reported.
"We discussed the functioning of the Secretariat for European Affairs and the exchange of best practices with our country. We have established a partnership for an exchange of information and coordination both politically and from the public administration side. This support will over time help our institutions to manage the EU accession process more efficiently", said Popescu.
Another concrete result of the discussion is the organization in the near future of an internship program for Moldovan officials to exchange experience in the European affairs.
"We also referred to the holding in 2023 of the Summit of the European Political Community. The French partners voiced willingness to support us in organizing this prestigious international meeting", Popescu said.
On November 10-11, Popescu pays a working visit to Paris.
