Exhibition dedicated to science opened at Moldova's National Library

Chisinau, 11 November /MOLDPRES/ - An exhibition of documents titled, The fundamental sciences for sustainable development, today was opened at the headquarters of Moldova’s National Library (BNRM), in the context of marking the International Day of Science for Peace and Development.
According to the organizers, the exhibition’s goal is to familiarize users with the findings of researches carried out by the most famous native scientists and the evolution of the scientific fields from Moldova; to promote science in the context of achievement of the sustainable development goals from the 2030 Agenda; to consolidate the degree of awareness by the wide audience about the role of science for the peaceful and sustainable societies.
The exhibition comprises 100 publications from BNRM collections: scientific books, magazines accredited in Moldova, anthology of inventions, theses and resumes of PhD theses which show researches in librarianship.
The Science Day has been marked in Moldova on 10 November starting from 2010, in the context of the International Day of Science for Peace and Development, marked on the same day. This international approach, initiated by UNESCO, has the goal to promote the role of science in the entire society’s daily life.
The exhibition will be opened till 28 November.
