Book by Moldovan musical critic, journalist launched at Chisinau-based library

Chisinau, 11 November /MOLDPRES/ - A book titled, ”Niciodată pierdută, feminitatea” (Never lost, womanhood), by musical critic, journalist Rodica Iuncu, was launched at the Onisifor Ghibu Library from Chisinau today.   

Contacted by MOLDPRES, Rodica Iuncu said the volume had 128 pages and represented a documentary about the play on stage and the life of seven artists.   

Rodica Iuncu was born in the Larga village, southern Cahul district, on 23 February 1952. She finished the Eugen Coca Special Music School of the Chisinau-based Conservatoire (presently the Ciprian Porumbescu Music School) in 1970 and has degree of the Philology Faculty, journalism section, of the Moldovan State University, in 1975. In 2007, Iuncu made her editorial debut with a volume of essays and musical critics dedicated to the best known artists, singers of classical music from Moldova, followed by a book about a well-known Moldovan panpipe singer, Vasile Iovu (2015). In 1980, Rodica Iuncu was awarded the title of Merited Woman of Culture.
