Chisinau, 16 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved the technical concept of the e-ANSA (National Food Safety Agency) integrated information system. The latter will interconnect the present information systems, will help carry out a quick exchange of data and will ensure the digital traceability of animal origin products. Thus, problems of management of data with which ANSA operates will be excluded, such as the multiple introduction, data of bad quality or its lack, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

e-ANSA will represent an integrated information system meant for the management of data in the fields related to the registration and traceability of animals, sanitary and veterinary activity, management of laboratories and consignments of food products (according to the ‘’from farm to fork’’ principle). Its implementation will bring benefits and immediate impact both for ANSA and agro-food producers, external laboratories for examination of samples, private veterinaries and citizens, through ensuring the centralized access to electronic data and services, needed for the carrying out of the business processes specific for their activity.

Also, e-ANSA will allow enhancing the transparency of data in the sectors from the Agency’s competences, will standardize the business processes and the documents related to them, will shorten the time of interaction with data users, will provide efficient mechanisms of posting the results of the economic activity of subjects involved in the food production process.

The conceptualizing of the integrated system takes place in line with the national and international standards in the sector. It is worth mentioning that ANSA committed to ensure the full observance of the European Union’s requirements in the field of animals’ health and food safety, including with the goal to facilitate the access of Moldovan animal origin products to European Union’s markets.

The draft government decision was worked out with the support of the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank Group.
