Moldovan diplomacy head has meeting with Ambassador of Turkey to Moldova

Chisinau, 17 November /MOLDPRES - Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Nicu Popescu today had a meeting with Ambassador of Turkey to Moldova Uygar Mustafa Sertel, who has recently started his diplomatic mission in the country, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service has reported.      

The officials discussed the diversification of the commercial exchanges and mutual increase in investments. The sides proved that this was possible through the organization of business forums in both states, with the support of the two countries’ embassies.   

„I noted that the bilateral relation is developing based on the Strategic Partnership between our countries and of the reciprocal openness for fully turning to account the commercial and economic potential, the investment one and in the tourism sector.     

We discussed also the regional situation, in the context of Russia’s brutal war against Ukraine, its serious impact on the economy and energy sector of Moldova.

I assured the Turkish diplomat of MAEIE’s every support for the achievement of the common goals,’’ Minister Nicu Popescu said.
