Foreign ministry referred to detention of three Moldovan citizens in Bulgaria

Chisinau, Nov. 19 /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration immediately notified following the information in the national and international media on the detention of Moldovan citizens, suspected by the Bulgarian authorities of participating in the organization of the terrorist attack in Turkey, and took notes as an emergency through the embassy of our country in Sofia to get additional information on the case, the MAEIE press service has reported.

The ministry said that the representatives of the diplomatic mission will carefully monitor the developments related to this case, informing the relevant authorities of the Republic of Moldova.

Our country has strongly condemned any terrorist act, including the Istanbul bombing, and reiterates openness to effective information sharing between law enforcement authorities, judicial authorities and intelligence services of the targeted states to combat terrorism, track down foreign fighters and fight organized crime.
