Moldovan parliament to sign memorandum of cooperation with legislative body of Croatia

Chisinau, 21 November /MOLDPRES/ - Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu today discussed with a delegation of the European Affairs Committee of Croatia’s parliament, led by Domagoj Hajdukovic. The main subjects were focused on the European integration agenda and the deepening of the inter-parliamentary relations, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
The speaker thanked Croatia for the support provided to Moldova, to get the status of candidate for accession to EU. ‘’Moldova treats this status with maximal seriousness and at the moment, all institutions of the state are committed to fulfill those nine conditions which are, in fact, our priorities as well,’’ Igor Grosu said.
The parliament speaker noted that the Moldovan authorities were interested in taking over Croatia’s experience in speeding up certain processes in various sectors. At the meeting, the officials agreed on the signing of a memorandum on cooperation between the two parliaments in key fields, such as the development of capacities of defence, strengthening of the cyber security, creation of new logistic chains. The specialty commissions are to establish the agenda of priorities.
