Chisinau, 23 November /MOLDPRES/ - The cabinet of ministers today approved the maximal compensated volumes and the prices for energy for the household consumers, applied on the period November 2022 – March 2023, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Thus, in the case of natural gas, the state will compensate the tariff for the first 180 cubic metres monthly consumed and the final price paid by the consumer, depending on the vulnerability category, will be:

– 12 lei per one cubic metre for the consumers with quite high energy vulnerability;

– 14 lei per one cubic metre for consumers with high energy vulnerability;

– 17 lei per one cubic metre for the consumers with medium energy vulnerability;

– 24 de lei per one cubic metre for the consumers with low energy vulnerability.

As for the consumers of thermal energy in centralized regime, the maximal compensated volume will be of 1.3 Gcal per month for one consumption place and the final price will be of:

– 1,450 lei/Gcal for consumers with quite high energy vulnerability;

– 1,700 lei/Gcal for consumers with high energy vulnerability;

– 1,950 lei/ Gcal for the consumers with medium energy vulnerability;

– 2,500 lei/Gcal for the consumers with low energy vulnerability.

Alsop, the government will compensate the tariff for electric energy for the first 75 KW/hour consumed monthly, and the final price will be of 3.3 lei per one KW/hour for consumers with quite high energy vulnerability and 3.7 lei per one KW/hour for the consumers with high energy vulnerability.

The government will compensate the price for electric energy, including for the household consumers, for whom this represents the main source of heating on the cold period of the year and the maximally compensated volume will be of 1,000 KW/hour/month.

This category of consumers will have to register on the website www.compensatii.gov.md and to meet the following conditions: to have a monthly average consumption of electricity of at least 250 KW/hour/month on the previous cold period and should not be connected to the centralized supply of thermal energy or register an average monthly consumption of thermal energy smaller than 0.3 Gcal/month in the previous cold period.

To pay the compensations on the cold period (November 2022 – December 2023), about 5 billion lei will be needed, with 870 million lei allocated from the state budget this year.

The day of 24 November is the last day of submitting the application to the website www.compensatii.gov.md, in order to have the category of vulnerability assigned for November. So far, about 700,000 applications have been registered in the Energy Vulnerability information system.
