Moldovan PM visits theoretical lyceum from northern Edinet town

Chisinau, 24 November /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilita on 23 November went to the Mihai Eminescu Theoretical Lyceum from the northern Edinet town. The PM visited classrooms, IT laboratory, canteen, resource centre and the library of the lyceum, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
In the last years, more projects with foreign financing and from the state budget have been implemented at this education institution. Thus, the lyceum is endowed with new advanced equipment of information and communication technology, in order to carry out a quality education process; it has projectors, interactive tables, TV sets, digital screens, laptops, tablets, PCs connected to internet, printers, WEB cameras and projection screens.
Natalia Gavrilita talked to teachers who work at the lyceum, as well as pupils who are members of the Pupils’ Council in the mandate October 2022 – October 2023.
„I am glad to see you so active and well-informed. We want the pupils to be able to study in Moldova and remain here, at home to work. For this, me and my colleagues from the government work, in order to create you good conditions for cultural development and professional growth. The Cultural Voucher programme was launched some days ago, which can be accessed even locally. I also urge you to get involved in the process of consulting the Youth Strategy 2030. Moldova needs the force of young people, who are to invest their creativeness, potential, visions and effort in the country’s consolidation and development,’’ the PM said.
During the dialogue, pupils and the PM tackled diverse subjects, including the needs and interests of pupils, the difficulties they face locally and the solutions they had identified on the platform of the Pupils’ Council.
As many as 569 pupils study and 41 teachers work at the Mihai Eminescu Theoretical Lyceum from Edinet.
