Entrepreneurship Fund created in Moldova

Chisinau, Nov. 24 /MOLDPRES/- The Parliament approved today the creation of the Moldova's Fund for Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth, with the status of an internal subdivision within the Organization for Entrepreneurship Development (ODA). The project to amend the Law on small and medium enterprises was voted in the second reading.

The fund will give small and medium-sized enterprises access to financing on favorable terms. Financing instruments such as credits, total or partial compensation of loan costs, other financing mechanisms will be used.

The fund will be financed from the allocations from the state budget, the financial means offered by the development partners and donors as credits, financial and technical assistance, grants. It will also be supplemented from the income obtained from lending and re-crediting, from the investment of available financial means.
