Moldovan president meets foreign minister of Georgia

Chisinau, Nov. 25 /MOLDPRES/- President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu met on Thursday with Ilia Darkiașvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, on a working visit to Chisinau. The discussion focused on the bilateral agenda, cooperation in the context of European integration and the security situation in the region, the presidential press service has reported.
Maia Sandu said that the war in the neighboring country seriously affects our energy and economic security, and noted that unity and solidarity between states is needed to respond to current challenges.
In the context, the officials expressed their determination to continue helping Ukraine in fight for freedom and to support the refugees who are now in Moldova and Georgia.
Maia Sandu spoke out for Moldovan-Georgian cooperation in the fight against disinformation, which represents a major danger for any democratic country.
