According to the parliament’s communication and public relations department, the high-ranking EU official expressed admiration for the political leaders of Moldova for the decisions to help the Ukrainian nation, which suffer in the wake of the war, as well as for the fact that, in the most difficult moments, they preserve the ambition of the European vector.

In the context, the European Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries stressed that Moldova’s joining the EU Programme for Environment and Climate Action, the document signed today, would help the country approach the climate-related and environment issues, which EU treats quite seriously and Moldova’s citizens would benefit, as this is a sound competition in the aspiration towards what is better. Virginijus Sinkevičius reconfirmed that Moldova would not be alone on its European way and in its international commitments, as EU and the European Commission are ready to provide Moldova with the technical and financial assistance.
