Former deputy head of National Penitentiary Administration to be investigated for falsifications in declaration of wealth

Chisinau, Nov. 28 /MOLDPRES/- A former deputy head of the National Penitentiary Administration will be tried for falsifications in the declaration of wealth.

According to the General Prosecutor's Office, the accused declared incorrect data regarding the income and properties obtained during five years, starting in 2017.

Thus, the man did not indicate in the wealth declaration that his family owns a plot of land and a holiday home near the city of Chisinau, cadastrally valued at over 400 thousand lei (about 20 thousand euros). He did not include two cars and over 600 thousand lei, obtained from the sale of three other cars.

If found guilty, the suspect risks a fine of up to 300 thousand lei or imprisonment of up to one year.
