Localities to receive state subsidies for development announced

Chisinau, Dec. 2 /MOLDPRES/- The Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) announced yesterday the decision on granting of subsidies to improve the standard of living and work in rural areas from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and the Rural Environment (FNDAMR). Previously, a special commission evaluated and selected the investment projects submitted by local public authorities and legal entities.

According to AIPA, in total, 178 investment projects were approved for financing. "It is about Measure 1: Improvement and development of the rural economic infrastructure - 13 investment projects, where the state support will be about 23.6 million lei (about 1.2 million euros); Measure 2: Rural locality development - 164 investment projects, the subsidies being about 139.5 million lei; Measure 3: Diversification of the rural economy through non-agricultural activities - 1 investment project, the financial support from FNDAMR constituting 0.5 million lei", the institution said.

From the FNDAMR, 15% is allocated for the granting of subsidies in advance in order to improve the standard of living and work in rural areas.
