Flashmob held in Moldovan parliament on International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Chisinau, Dec. 3 /MOLDPRES/- In the context of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, pupils from the special school No12 for hearing-impaired and late deafness children and members of the Deaf Association from the Republic of Moldova held a flashmob in the plenary of the Parliament. The participants in the action interpreted the National Anthem in mime-gestural language, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

The purpose of the flashmob was to convey to the deputies and public opinion a message of awareness regarding the special needs of people with disabilities and to promote a positive model of social inclusion.

Also on this occasion, Speaker Igor Grosu offered awards to people who take care of people with disabilities.

The International Day of Persons with Disabilities is marked annually on December 3 and aims to promote and implement programs aimed at improving living conditions for persons with disabilities.
