ANRE recorded constant decrease in petrol, diesel prices

Chisinau, Dec. 7 /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has set for 8 December the maximum retail prices of the main standard oil products at the level of: 24.02 lei/liter (about 1.25 euros) - for petrol COR 95 (- 0.25 lei; 24.10 lei/liter - for standard diesel (-0.27 lei).

Thus, the institution attests, during the last three weeks, a constant decrease in fuel prices on the international exchanges, a fact that was also reflected in the pump prices calculated by ANRE.

"During this year, the international reference level of oil reached the lowest quotations. And this is despite the relaxation of COVID restrictions in China, which is the main importer of crude oil, or the entry into force of the European price cap and embargo on Russian oil. According to Trading Economics, this fact is partly due to the decrease in global oil demand conditioned by the growing fears of a possible recession of the world economy, caused by the constant high inflation that is increasingly affecting consumer spending", indicates ANRE.

Under the developments, as well as the Methodology applied by ANRE, only during the last three weeks, the price of COR 95 petrol decreased by 2.84 lei/liter, which is 10.6%, and of standard diesel by 3 05 lei/liter or by 11.22%.
