Scholarship for jobless people registered for professional training courses is to be increased in Moldova

Chisinau, 7 December /MOLDPRES/ - The scholarship for jobless people registered for professional training courses is to be increased from 15 to 35 per cent of the average salary on the economy for the year before. The parliamentary commission for economy, budget and finances approved the report today and the parliament’s commission for economy, budget and finances – the co-report on the legislative amendments.   

Under the document, the unemployed who start a business will receive a subsidy increased from 50 to 80 per cent, but not more than 20 average salaries for the previous year out of the spending necessary for initiating the business.    

At the same time, the term of three months following the resignation or dismissal, upon the expiration of which the people benefiting from dismissal allowances have right to enjoy unemployment benefit, is to be excluded.   

Also, the term of employment and maintaining of the job by the employers who benefit from the subsidization of the costs for the creation and adaptation of the job for people with disabilities is reduced from 18 to 12 months.

The document’s authors proposed amendments due to simplify the procedure of getting the licence for the activity of employment of Moldova’s citizens abroad, as well as adjustings as to the suspension of this licence.

The draft law is to be discussed in parliament’s plenum.
