Moldova's legislation in force to be adapted to new Electoral Code

Chisinau, 8 December /MOLDPRES/ - The draft law which provides for the adjusting of the normative framework related to the electoral one was adopted parliament in the second reading today.

The draft’s goal is to improve the electoral procedures through adjusting the normative acts which contain provisions on elections, so that they meet the tendencies of Moldova’s new Electoral Code.

Thus, 15 normative acts were amended, the stipulations of which interact with the ones of the electoral legislation and with the field of work of the Central Electoral Commission.

Also at the today’s plenary meeting, the lawmakers voted the draft of the Electoral Code of Moldova in the final reading.
