Over 150 explosives found in Copceac

Chisinau, 9 Dec. /MOLDPRES/- National Army sappers found over 155 explosives in the center of Copceac, Ceadâr-Lunga district.
According to the Ministry of Defense, among the objects found are artillery shells, hand grenades, grenade launchers and cartridges. The munitions dated from the World War II and presented a danger to the population.
The explosive objects were transported and destroyed under maximum security conditions.
The Ministry announces that, since the beginning of the current year, the soldiers of the National Army have executed over 170 demining missions, neutralizing 649 explosive objects of various types and over 13 thousand cartridges.
