Petrol, diesel prices to continue to fall

Chisinau, Dec. 13 /MOLDPRES/- The National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE) has set for 14 December the following maximum retail prices for the main standard oil products: 22.99 lei/liter (about 1.15 euros) for COR 95 petrol ( -0.24 lei); 23.22 lei/liter for standard diesel (-0.13 lei).

Thus, ANRE continues to attest to a low level of Platts quotations for both gasoline and diesel, a trend that is also maintained at the level of prices for the main standard oil products displayed at gas stations.

"The cumulative fuel price reduction compared to the maximum values in June is 10.91 lei/liter for COR 95 petrol and 9.24 lei/liter for standard diesel, which represents a decrease of about 32.18 and respectively 28.46%", indicates ANRE.

During the last period, Platts quotations decreased significantly, reaching below 700 dollars/ton for gasoline and around 800 dollars/ton for diesel fuel, a fact that allowed the reduction of the price at the pump for both types of fuel to the level of 23 lei /liter, reaching the values up to the start of the military invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, summarizes the quoted source.
