Five localities in central Moldova to benefit from support for refugees from Ukraine

Chisinau, 14 Dec. /MOLDPRES/- More than three hundred refugees, temporarily placed in the placement centers in Costești village, Ialoveni district, Neculăieuca village, Orhei district, Criuleni, Nisporeni and Călărași cities, will benefit from better living conditions thanks to the technical sets purchased within a project of support and response to the crisis situation, the Center Regional Development Agency (ADR) announced today.

The activity was carried out by ADR Centru with financial support provided by the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ). "For the five temporary placement centers in the Central Region, the technical and material base was improved by procuring equipment and equipping them according to individual needs.

The following were also purchased and distributed: 10 convectors, six stoves, six washing machines, five clothes dryers, five refrigerators, five vacuum cleaners, four dishwashers and two televisions", indicates ADR Centru.

The selected placement centers were created within institutions with a social purpose such as a nursing home, community home, student dormitory, vocational school, and after the closure of the temporary centers, the technique will remain to serve the beneficiaries of these institutions.

The project Support package for the DRC as a response to emergency situations is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the project Modernization of Local Public Services in the Republic of Moldova (MSPL). The MSPL project is financed by the BMZ and implemented by GIZ Moldova, in partnership with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Moldova.
