Mihai Eminescu Theatre to stage Romeo and Juliet play in new version

Chisinau, 15 December /MOLDPRES/ - The premiere of the Romeo and Juliet play by William Shakespeare, in a new version, will take place at the Mihai Eminescu National Theatre (TNME) on 17 and 18 December at 18:00.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the deputy director of the institution, Ghenadie Galca, said the play was staged at TNME for the third time.

Stage manager Luminita Tacu said she had been dreaming to stage a play by William Shakespeare for a long time and finally had chosen Romeo and Juliet. ‘’We hope to succeed to bring on stage love just as we see it. It is about Romeo and Juliet of our times,’’ Luminita Tacu said.

Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare in 1595-1596.
