Electric energy to cheapen in Moldova as of 1 January 2023

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - The Administrative Board of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) today held an extraordinary meeting, during which it adjusted the tariffs and regulated prices for the electric energy delivered to end consumers. Starting from 1 January 2023, they will pay less for the electricity.  

Thus, following the analysis of the data unveiled by providers, decision-makers approved the following regulated prices for the delivery of electric energy by the state capital enterprise Premier Energy, differentiated depending on the delimitation points or consumption places of the end consumers: 2.47 lei/kWh for the electric energy supplied at the points of entrance into the electricity transport networks, which is by 1.49 lei/kWh less against the price in force; 2.67 lei /kWh – at the points of exit from the electricity transport networks, down by 1.43 lei/kWh against  the price in force; 2.70 lei/kWh for the end consumers whose installations are connected to the high-tension power distribution networks (35–110 kV), which is by 1.42 lei/kWh less against the price in force; 2.89 lei/kWh – to the medium-tension power distribution networks (6–10 kV), down by 1.37 lei/kWh against the price in force; 3.42 lei/kWh - to the low-tension power distribution networks (0.4 kV), which is by 1.20 lei/kWh less than the price in force.    

The following differentiated regulated prices were approved for the stock company North Electric Energy Supply: 2.50 lei/kWh for electric energy supplied at the points of entrance into the electricity transport networks, which is by 1.15 lei/kWh less against the price in force; 2.70 lei/kWh - at the points of exit from the electricity transport networks, down by 1.10 lei/kWh against the price in force; 2.95 lei/kWh for the end consumers whose installations are connected to the medium-tension power distribution networks (6–10 kV), , which is by /105 lei/kWh less against the price in force; 3.84 lei/kWh – to the low-tension power distribution networks (0.4 kV), which is by 0.81 lei/kWh less against the price in force.  

The participants in the meeting also approved the new prices and tariffs of the components which form the final delivery price of the electric energy.  

According to ANRE, the principal factor which stayed at the basis of the decrease in the prices for the supply of electric energy to the end consumers is the signing of the contract between the provider Energocom stock company, which was imposed the obligation to buy electric energy needed for the providers of the universal and last resort service and system operators and MGRES (Kuchurgan power plant) and enhancement of the share of this producer in the total structure of electric energy’s procurement.
