Second meeting of European Political Community to be held on 1 June in Chisinau

Chisinau, 12 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- A meeting of the European Political Community (EPC) will take place on 1 June in Chisinau. President Maia Sandu made the statement today.

An official invitation to this effect was signed by Maia Sandu and European Council President Charles Michel, and sent to the heads of state and government of the participating countries.

47 presidents and heads of government, as well as the heads of the European Union are expected at the event. The leaders will discuss joint efforts for peace, in the context of the war in Ukraine and related crises, the defense of democracy, the strengthening of energy security and the resilience of European states.

The European Political Community was created last year, at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron. The first CPE meeting was held in Prague, Czech Republic in October 2022.
