Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - Nine Polish companies will cooperate with institutions from Moldova, in order to implement innovating solutions within the fifth appeal of proposals of the Polish Fund for Innovations, implemented by the United Nations Development Fund (UNDP). Each initiative selected received up to 40,000 dollars and will be held on the period December 2022 – June 2023.

The goal of the current issue of the competition of innovating ideas is to support the response to the multidimensional crisis faced by Moldova (flow of refugees, increase of the cost of life and energy crisis), which cover three topic-related sectors: green technologies and sources of energy at accessible prices; digital innovations and new solutions for the Information Technology and Communication (ITC) sector and sales markets; employment and other support initiatives.

„This year already, we will be able to see a tangible impact of these initiatives on Moldova’s economy, providing enhanced access to new jobs, green technologies, innovating ideas and expertise,’’ a project manager at the Polish Fund for Innovations, UNDP’s Regional Office, Magdalena Kudlicka, said.

The Polish Fund for Innovations is an initiative of Poland’s Foreign Affairs Ministry and UNDP’s Regional Office, which supports the use of innovating solutions and know-how, Polish knowledge and experience, in order to settle the challenges of development in the partner countries selected by Polish Aid. The current edition is dedicated to the promotion of innovations especially in Moldova, while the earlier  initiatives covered Ukraine, Georgia and Belarus.
