Five fire crews intervened again in Giurgiulesti Port

Chisinau, 20 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Five fire crews intervened again this morning in Giurgiulești International Free Port to put out another tank (No2) with a load of sunflower groats that caught fire.
According to IGSU, tank No2 has a capacity of 1100 tons. Currently, only 50% of the total volume is stored here. As a result, no casualties are reported and there are no risks for citizens and infrastructure in the area.
A similar incident in took place on January 16, 2023. Due to the smoldering of a load of more than 1000 tons of sunflower groats, the tanker collapsed.
