Chisinau, 20 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- The consultative-diagnostic center of the Ministry of Defense was provided with a hyperbaric chamber and modern diagnostic equipment. The equipment worth 68 thousand US dollars was purchased by the United Nations Development Program in Moldova from the funds provided by the Ministry of Defense.
Colonel Andrei Marfin, head of the Consultative-Diagnostic Center of the Ministry of Defence, said that the equipment will contribute to the modernization of the medical infrastructure in accordance with international standards in the field.
The hyperbaric chamber offers the possibility to apply a non-invasive treatment for acute infections and post-infection recovery, including post-COVID. The installation allows optimal oxygenation at the patient's lung and cellular level, thus ensuring the reconstruction of damaged blood vessels, tissues and even internal organs. At the same time, the treatment carried out in the hyperbaric chamber triggers the growth of collagen, which facilitates the healing and restoration of the body. Oxygen therapy also helps the body create new white blood cells, which are needed to fight infection and bacteria.
At the same time, the Center was also equipped with a modern medical centrifuge, two hot air sterilizers of different capacities and a water distiller.
