Medical service of ministry of interior provided with modern equipment in 2022

Chisinau, 22 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- The Medical Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) was provided in 2022 with modern equipment, unique in the Republic of Moldova, according to a report made public by the institution yesterday.

For the Medical Service, 2022 was a year of substantiating the Strategy for the development of departmental medical assistance and medical-military expertise in the internal affairs system. Thus, the package of normative acts regulating the activity of the Service and subordinate medical institutions was adjusted and updated, according to the MAI.

"I trust that all the projects will be completed this year, in order to have a medical system corresponding to European standards. The MAI managed to get the Commission for Strategic Investments to finance the construction of the independent module for the Emergency Unit, which will operate in our hospital. It is another success for us in the field of medical assistance", said Ana Revenco, Minister of Interior.

The staff of the medical and sanitary institutions of the MAI ensures the supervision of the health status of the employees with special status from the MAI structures, as well as of the insured persons (students, trainees, pensioners of the MAI), the persons served on a contract basis. Last year, more than 26 thousand people were served.
