Moldovan speaker discussed with Moldovans residing in Turkey

Chisinau, 26 Jan. /MOLDPRES/- Speaker Igor Grosu discussed with several Moldovan citizens who live, work or study in Turkey, the parliament's communication and public relations department has reported.

The discussions focused on the economic and social situation in the country, as well as the existing problems. "I was happy to note that although they have been away from the country for several years, our people are connected to the realities at home, they care about Moldova and their relatives who have remained in the country", he said.

Grosiu pointed out the firm determination of the authorities in the European integration process. Accordingly, he encouraged our compatriots to continue promoting the Republic of Moldova as a tourist and business destination. "I told them we need as many investments as possible in the Republic of Moldova and noted their suggestions for improving the business environment," he said.

The offiicial thanked them for support and for making time for a discussion about how things are going in their homeland. "After these discussions, I realized that regardless of whether you were born in Comrat, Soroca, Tighina, Chisinau, Anenii Noi, Cahul, Ștefan Vodă, wherever it is, our compatriots manage to assert themselves professionally, integrate and lead the good name of our country in the world", he said.

The discussions took place in the premises of the TEMPO Puppet Theater in Ankara, where the director is the actress Marina Yüce, born in Gagauzia, who, together with her colleagues, presented the show Guguță. Leonida Timuș was also present at the event, settled in Turkey for 7 years and who came especially from Istanbul to sing in Romanian, noting that every time at all festivals she represents Moldova with love and longing.

Also, composer Ivan Ciolacu, also residing in Turkey presented a beautiful accordion recital.
