More than 59,000 people buy health insurance policies in Moldova in last January

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/ - Over 59,000 people paid the mandatory health insurance premium in fixed sum in last January, which is by almost 23,000 more against the same month of the year before.    

According to the National health Insurances Company (CNAM), the people obliged to insure individually in the first three months of the year benefit from facilities at the payment of the insurance premium in fixed sum. Its size varies from 1,014 lei to 4,056 lei, depending on the category the person belongs to.   

Thus, over 43,000 people in last January paid a premium with a size of 2,028 lei. It is about founders of private enterprises, licence holders leaseholders, lessors, other citizens who are not employed and neither insured by the government, the foreign citizens with right to provisional stay in Moldova, etc.   

Another about 15,000 people who are owners of farmlands paid the insurance premium worth 1,014 lei.

At the same time, over 400 people who carry out independent activities in the retail trade sector, except for the commerce with goods subjected to excise duties, paid the insurance premium amounting to 1,622 lei and about 560 people paid by 4,056 lei for the health insurance premium.

CNAM reiterates that, after 31 March, the citizens who do not insure individually on the term established by the legislation will pay the full size of the health insurance premium - 12,636 lei, as well as a penalty of 0.1 per cent for each day of delay. Also, the status of insured person will be provided seven days after the moment of payment.
