Moldova to accede to Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of Council of Europe

Chisinau, 1 February /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova will benefit from support and assistance, in order to implement the policies in the culture and tourism sectors. To this end, the cabinet of ministers today approved a draft law on Moldova’s accession to the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, the government’s communication and protocol department has repported.
The agreement is opened for the Council of Europe member states, in order to provide political support to national, regional and local initiatives for the promotion of culture and tourism. Presently, the agreement comprises 36 member states, among which Romania, Ukraine, as well as such countries as Greece, Norway, Switzerland, Italy.
The member state benefit from support and assistance, in order to implement the policies in the field, develop the cultural routes and back the creation of the exchange of experience between operators and partners of the concerned routes. A close cooperation in the tourism sector with diverse European states will open new perspectives in the field of mutual support and exchange of experience, able to help enhance the competitiveness of the Moldovan tourism sector.
The access to the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe will result in the creation of partnerships, in order to increase the resources available for the cultural tourism in Moldova.
